Excellent rating
Based on 9 reviews My mother has been at Lavender Springs almost four years. During this time she has received excellent care and has been treated with dignity and kindness. It is a small place with 16 residents, so you come to consider the residents, their families and the staff as your own family. The owner is kind, tuned in to residents’ needs, organized and extremely competent. She is there multiple times a week and her door is always open. The food is great; the staff is caring and compassionate; the view is gorgeous. Our family is fortunate to have found Lavender Springs. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a safe, family-oriented, Christian based place for your loved one. Jean Boozer In a moment of need to find a place for my father, Lavender Springs was there. From the moment we entered the facility, we felt a sense of warmth and coziness. From the private rooms to the immaculately designed and decorated dining area and social rooms, Lavender Springs feels more like a home than a facility. Did I mention the views, unbelievable! Activities such as game days, singing, crafts, birthday celebrations as well as a geriatric doctor and hairdresser that comes weekly are just a few of the amenities. Lavender Springs owners, Jana and Tommy Gillis, along with their dedicated staff, are passionate about providing a loving and caring home for each resident. Every staff member is committed to their job and their devotion is clearly evident. From the hospitable staff to the pristine facility, we could not have chosen a better place for our loved one. My dad has found his second home and as an added bonus, I have made friends for life. Tracy Mussey A day later and I'm still in awe of yesterday's experience at Lavender Springs! From the moment I drove up to the property and was greeted by the warm smile of who I'd later learn was staff member, I had a gut feeling I stumbled upon someplace special. And as soon as I stepped inside, that feeling was right on target! Another staff member greeted me with courtesy, genuineness and the warmth of family. There was a tantalizing aroma coming from the kitchen, laughter of residents and their family members, visible activities, astounding windows boasting natural light and heaven's backdrop - Texas hills! This is by far the best assisted living community I've ever seen. And I've seen many across the Texas, Georgia, and Illinois markets. As a healthcare professional and daughter of an aging parent, with assisted living needs, I'm passionate about quality care for aging adults. The owner's tour of this community and time spent with me is assurance that every resident at Lavender Springs is being well cared for. What a beautiful place to call home! Keisha Davis There aren't enough positive adjectives to express how wonderful the staff at Lavender Springs are! In the long time we went without being able to see Mom because of Covid protocols, we were able to sleep at night knowing she was being looked after in the most loving way. They treat her like family. We knew Mom wouldn't be lonely or scared or want for anything in our absence. There is nothing about Lavender that is "nursing homey". It's clean, the food is wonderful, the staff to resident ratio is low, the folks in the office are always easy to get in contact with. The fact that there is a dedicated doctor and nurse practitioner assigned to Mom (and who come to her and not the other way around!) is simply icing on the cake. We don't worry that Mom's health and well-being isn't their priority. Simply put, we don't worry about anything. Carla Cox The Lavender Springs facility is warm and homey, and the staff are compassionate & capable--they've taken excellent care of our aging parents. Mom and Dad have been living there very happily since 2018, and we've been really pleased with the quality care they've received. Highly recommended for singles and couples contemplating the transition from independent living to a higher level of care. Eric Cox Lavender Springs is wonderful!! They truly embrace their residents like new family members. The atmosphere is very cozy and feels just like you are at home, not in a "facility." It's a very difficult decision to make when you need to select care for a loved one, but choosing Lavender Springs made the transition easier than I expected. Highly recommended!! Gretchen Edelmon Lavender Springs is a wonderful assisted living facility !! A very cheerful place where the staff attends to all of the needs of their residents ! The views from the facility are unmatched ! They offer wonderful activities and are excellent with accommodating the likes and needs of food choices for everyone ! The staff is very friendly and provide a homey atmosphere !! If you have a loved one who needs a little extra care, I highly recommend Lavender Springs! Jean Stockfleth My family is very grateful for the care our mother receives at Lavender Springs Assisted Living. We know she is in a safe and loving environment with special attention given to her daily living needs, medical care and emotional support. The management and staff go beyond the minimum to take care of their residents. Donna Willis Our family did considerable searching for a place for Mother. We found Lavender Springs and it just felt "like home" when we walked in the door. We took a tour of the facility and talked with residents, staff and management and we were sold. We took Mother to Lavender Springs and she was delighted with what she saw. She said "I feel like I'm back home again" and that was a great feeling for all the family. She participated in Domino 42 games, Go Fish card games, Bingo, Ceramics, making Christmas ornaments, making floral arrangements and many other activities. She never wanted for anything, she had nutritious meals, laundry was always taken care of, the facility was always clean and she made friends with everyone there. We felt very comfortable with her living there and as a result we made friendships there as well. The feeling there was always about "family" and as far as we are concerned, her care and happiness could not have been better. Family of Verlyn Bowers GaryS

An assisted living facility is a “house away from home” designed to supply custodial care in a setting that resembles an individual residence. For the most part, locals of assisted living communities maintain a higher functional capability than those of lasting nursing care facilities.
